LOVED this final installment (although I actually liked Rogue One and Solo better. I went in with low hopes because I really disliked Force Awakens and Last Jedi. Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker Watch stream. Admittedly, this film spends an awful lot of time fixing the mistakes from the previous films (mainly The Last Jedi) and at times it can feel very fast paced. On the other hand, J.J. Abrams had a huge task ahead of him and he did and an amazing job with the time he had, to do just that. But it FEELS like a 9 star. It took me back to when I was 5 watching the original trilogy, while still summoning new and exciting ideas in the Star Wars universe. It paid homage to the Expanded Universe without making us feel it was stealing from it. The movie is visually stunning and hell, it even made me like Finn as a character which is an amazing feat accomplished in itself. The story was captivating and left me feeling full and satisfied as I exited the theater. Go in with a blank slate and try to enjoy the movie. As a huge Star Wars Fan, I am more than pleased and will definitely go see it again. The film is probably closer to an 8.5/10 as there are a few moments that made me raise an eyebrow BUT this rating NEEDS to go up as it is by far the best out of the sequel trilogy. Are there things I can nit pick on film craft? Absolutely. Are all character motivations fully fleshed out? Nope. Were there moments that felt like an apology over intended story telling. Yea. If I gave my "honest" critical review, this would be a 6 star movie.
